COBRATIG UPDATE FILES - VERSION 02C2

This CobraTig Firmware, Version 02C2 has the Model 4000 & 5006 database added. Version 02C2 replaces all previous CobraTig® 150 software versions and can only be used in CobraTig Model 254-150. However, in order to operate the Model 5006 weldhead some minor hardware changes in the CobraTig must be performed.

To properly perform this firmware upgrade, a Null Modem Interface Cable must be connected between the CobraTig and the PC/Laptop serial port. Follow the cable connection and CobraTig setup instruction in this kit. This can be purchased from MK Products: P/N 005-0323.

Instructions:

For easiest navigation, unzip file and save the "Ctig02c2.bin" and "MKEdit-V2.exe" files into the same directory.

Double-Click and run the "MKEdit-V2.exe" application to start the SmartArc Weld Program Editor. To send the firmware upgrade into the CobraTig, select 'Send' and choose 'Send Firmware Upgrade to CobraTig'.

When locating the "Ctig02c2.bin" file for upgrading, change the Files of Type: to 'All files (*.*)'. Choose the "Ctig02c2.bin" file and click on 'OPEN'.

Continue with Firmware upgrade as instructed on screen on PC/Laptop.

WARNING:

Disconnect Null Modem cable prior to welding. Failure to disconnect cable can and will result in damage to the electronics of the PC/Laptop.

WARNING: 

Installing new Firmware will erase any saved weld procedures from the CobraTig. Use the Communication Menu to save weld procedures onto PC/Laptop.

The files listed in the above text are only available via a written request by email.  This request MUST included CobraTig serial number & current Firmware Version number.
